HOW IT WORKS

  • Our members meet 4 times a year with a blank check in hand and vote for one of three member-nominated nonprofit organizations.
  • Each member is allowed to nominate one nonprofit. Three are chosen at random from the jar and will present to the group. Members must be in attendance to present if their nonprofit is drawn.
  • Presentations are limited to 5 minutes, with 3 minutes for questions from the group.
  • Once presentations are complete, the group votes. The nonprofit with the most votes receives the funding.
  • Each member will write their check directly to the nonprofit.
  • If a member is not able to attend a meeting, they will mail their check to the PO box address listed below.
  • All checks will be collected within 3 weeks and presented to the nonprofit at an agreed upon date. All members are encouraged to attend the presentation ceremony.
  • GUESTS ARE WELCOME! If you would like to come check out a meeting, please feel free! We just ask that you be officially registered as a member before you cast a ballot.

  • Our new meeting place is Dubuque Golf and Country Club at 1800 Randall Place in Dubuque. 
  • The meeting time is 5:30-7:00 PM. 5:30 - 6:00 is reserved for member check-in and socializing (there will be a cash bar). The meeting starts promptly at 6:00 and ends promptly at 7:00.
  • Each member is asked to check in at the welcome table to receive their nomination and voting ballot.
